Product description

The XHHW/XHHW‑2 copper conductor cable is a low voltage electrical cable with cross-linked polyethylene insulation (XLPE), offering excellent heat resistance, to humidity and mechanical stress. It is designed for fixed installations in residential buildings, industrial and commercial.

  • The XHHW cable is suitable for installations in dry environments up to 90°C, but limited to 75°C in a humid environment.
  • The XHHW‑2 copper cable, improved version, allows continuous operation at 90°C in both dry and humid environments, meeting the needs of the most demanding environments.

Complies with UL and NEC standards, these cables can be laid in conduits, cable ducts or trays.

For strictly dry areas, the old XHHW cable can theoretically be sufficient for use up to 90°C. However, taking into account long-term maintenance cost and modern safety standards, the XHHW‑2 remains the most reliable and durable solution.
