CR1-C1 cable
The CR1-C1 cable is a high performance fire safety cable, designed to protect critical circuits and ensure their operation in the event of a fire. Its structure includes a copper conductor, a layer of fire resistant mica tape and an LSZH sheath, offering high fire resistance and low smoke emission.
Our experts recommend the CR1-C1 for critical circuits in public buildings, hospitals, schools or tunnels, where fire safety is essential. For less sensitive lines or areas where fire resistance is not mandatory, LSZH or FR cables may be sufficient.
Chez ZMS CABLE, our CR1-C1 cables are made with high quality materials, ensuring reliable fire resistance, low smoke and long life, and can be personalized according to needs of your project.

| CR1-C1 cable | Copper conductor + little ribbon + isolation en silicone + gaine LSZH | Very high (CR1) | Low smoke emission, halogen-free (C1) | Fire safety circuits, public buildings |
| Ordinary fire resistant cable | Copper + mica + PVC/XLPE | Good | Depending on the model : may contain halogens | Fire alarm systems, emergency lighting |
| FE180 cables / E30 / E90 | Copper + multi-layered mica + silicone/XLPE | Very high, until 180 min | Generally LSZH (low smoke, halogen-free) | Hospitals, tunnels, Critical infrastructure |
| LSZH cable (not fire resistant) | Copper + XLPE/LSZH | Not fire resistant | LSZH : low smoke, halogen-free | Buildings and busy areas (without fire resistance requirements) |
| Standard PVC cable | Copper + PVC | Weak | Dense smoke, contains halogens | General facilities, non-safety related circuits |
Installation advice from our ZMS experts
To guarantee a secure and durable installation, it is recommended :
- To respect the minimum radius of curvature (at least 8 × cable diameter) to avoid damaging the insulation.
- Do not expose the cable to temperatures above +90°C in normal operation and +180°C in the event of fire, in accordance with CR1 specifications.
- To favor appropriate pulling and fixings in order to limit the mechanical tension on the cable during installation.
- Check compatibility with existing security systems and plan regular maintenance to guarantee performance in the event of fire.
- For specific projects, consider custom sections or custom colors to make it easier to identify critical circuits.
